Implementing a first-person object with camera (DirectX 9)

Hey guys, after finally implementing a proper flashlight effect with shaders, it's now time for me to give the player a flashlight – however I have no idea how to really go about it.

 

I have all my mesh instances under a public class called CWorldTransform, which gives each of my meshes the functions SetXPosition, RotateX(x), etc. So it's been an easy task putting 3D meshes all over the map, and having them interact with the player. But this is different.
