Yes. I've been in the industry for over 7 years now and I am very picky when it comes to using external code. I'm a perfectionist so I don't like using code that isn't up to my personal standards because generally I have to edit or add functionality to any external libraries I use anyway, and I often get to the point when I just decide to rewrite them rather than edit them because it'd be faster.
